Case Studies

A few examples of the kinds of challenges people bring to coaching, and the changes that can happen through the process.

Creative Producer

I have coached this client for several years, and we usually work together four times a year. As a freelancer, coaching gives her space to reflect on her career, check in with her values, and make sure her work still feels aligned.

When bigger decisions arise, coaching offers the time and clarity to understand what is really driving them and what action feels right.

“Bettina is a wonderful coach, who brings warmth and a wealth of experience to every conversation. She listens with great attention and has a wide range of coaching approaches and techniques available, helping me work through everything from long-term strategy to everyday moments of feeling stuck.

Coaching has been one of the best investments I’ve made in my career. The process has helped me work through challenging situations, better understand what work-life balance means for me, and create space to reflect on change and growth. I’ve been working with Bettina regularly for three years and have noticed significant changes through her expert guidance.”

Intensive and time-sensitive support

In just three sessions across three weeks, with daily prompts for self-care and reflection, this client moved from feeling completely stuck to making a big professional decision with confidence and clarity.

Together, we worked on understanding what was holding her back, organising the thoughts and emotions connected to leaving a job she had been in for six years, and creating a calmer and more grounded way forward. This included visualising how she wanted to resign, and how she wanted to begin her next role on her own terms.

“Bettina’s coaching sessions quickly worked their magic. Not only was I able to get clarity on what was holding me back and how to move forwards, I also learnt something about myself in the process.

Bettina is a joy to work with and worth every penny. She listens carefully and finds ways to help break down problems that had seemed insurmountable before coaching. She helped me enormously, and some of her suggestions around self-care and looking after myself are things I still use now.

She makes you think about more than just changing a job. She helps you slow down and think about everything in your life, and the impact that has on you, your family and your work.”

Interview preparation

Several clients come to me when they are preparing for an interview, especially if it has been a long time since their last one or if the opportunity feels particularly important.

An interview can bring all sorts of unhelpful thoughts and feelings to the surface, which can affect confidence and get in the way of showing up well. While I can’t guarantee the outcome of an interview, understanding what may be getting in the way can help people reconnect with their inner resources and approach the process with greater calm and confidence.

“Bettina was recommended to me by two friends who had seen her recently. One friend was going for her dream job and saw Bettina before both the first and final interviews, which really helped and she got the job.

In the past I have struggled with interviews, and I was applying for a role I really wanted, so I saw Bettina for support. It helped me feel much more relaxed in the interview than I would have done otherwise, and gave me a different perspective and a greater sense of confidence.

Bettina is very insightful and inspiring, and well worth booking a session with.”
