About Bettina Linstrum
With over 15 years of coaching experience and 25 years in the cultural sector, I bring together Therapeutic Coaching, reflective practice and facilitated development to help people move forward in a way that feels more aligned, authentic and sustainable.
There is something truly extraordinary about witnessing a person move from fragmentation to wholeness — watching someone who arrived disconnected from themselves begin to hear their own inner voice again, trust their own body, and step into a future that finally feels like theirs.
When the conscious and subconscious begin to work together rather than against each other, and when old wounds are met with compassion rather than avoidance, something profound unlocks. People do not just achieve their goals; they become more fully themselves in the process.
About Me
I grew up in Hamburg, Germany and studied Dance, Drama and European Cultural Policy in England. I’ve now lived in the UK for over 25 years and am based in Brighton with my husband and two teenage boys.
I started my company, ArtsAgenda, in 2004, working as a Creative Producer for outdoor arts and site-specific theatre, talent developer and international facilitator.
In 2012, I qualified as a coach and began focusing on one-to-one coaching, business coaching, and the design and delivery of leadership and development programmes.
In 2024, I completed a 24-month training programme as a Therapeutic Coach, deepening the work I do with individuals.
When I’m not in my garden office, you’ll usually find me knitting, dressmaking, going for a run or swim with friends, or experimenting in the kitchen. I find it hard to follow a recipe, and I definitely don’t measure rice.
My Coaching Approach
My work is guided by curiosity, openness and joy.
The techniques I use speak to the innate human resources of play and creativity to solve problems. I love how coaching brings out the best in people, creating a safe space where strengths and vulnerabilities can be explored, made conscious and healed.
In one-to-one work, the process supports greater self-awareness, helps uncover patterns that may be holding someone back, and creates a clearer and more purposeful way forward. The take-home tools also enable clients to continue the practice outside of sessions.
When coaching and facilitating a group, the emphasis is on creating the conditions for curiosity and openness, tolerance and acceptance of difference, and new cultures of engagement without blame — building trust and communication with awareness.
My guiding principle is simple: to inspire capability.
